Biking Weekend - June
Lots of fun with two great styles of biking packed into one great weekend. This weekend dedicated to everything bicycles will feature a mountain bike performance by Chris Clark right in the heart of the Village. The road biking events will be hosted by Holiday Valley.
Holiday Valley Mudslide - June
Yes, you'll get muddy, yes there is running, yes there are 8 obstacles but NO fire, NO barbed wire and NO electric shocks! The 3.5 mile course starts at the top of the mountain at Spruce Lake (we'll even give you a ride up on a chairlift) and runs along the ridge-line then down the hill. The 5.4 mile course adds a bit of uphill running, just in case you're feeling especially tough.
Summer Music Festival - July
Friday featured a Comedy Night Sponsored by the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival with performances by Tammy Pescatelli and Tony Deyo as well as a showcase of Comedians. Saturday evening Gretchen Wilson performed and Sunday Creedence Clearwater Revisited rocked the Main Stage. The Summer Music Festival weekend also included an Art and Craft show, the annual pet parade and the ever popular Strawberry Festival.
Jazz and Blues Weekend - July
A Jazz and Blues weekend in Ellicottville is a boutique experience. Wander through the village and choose from a variety of Jazz and Blues performance areas ranging from restaurants, bars & nightclubs and street-side. Ellicottville has the shops and all the facilities you'd expect in an international class resort, the village is self-contained - all of the venues are within easy walking distance of each other so after you arrive, leave the car and enjoy the fresh mountain air on foot. Outstanding accommodations for all budget levels are located in the Village or within walking distance
IBO World Bow Hunting Championships- August
The World Bow hunting Championships will be held at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville New York. This event is sanctioned by the International Bow hunting Organization (www.IBO.net) and will bring thousands of qualified archers and their families from around the world to shoot for the world title as well as cash and prizes! Vendor booths, practice and defense ranges open on Thursday with qualifying rounds starting on the Friday. The Holiday Valley Archery Festival will also be held the same dates for non-qualified shooters who would like to try out the world class ranges. This event is open to all archers. Admission is $45.00 and you must be pre-registered. This is a great event for everyone, even if you don't compete. Enjoy the trade show and watch the entrants compete for the titles, cash and prizes in many divisions. There is even a Future Bow hunters division for young children! This is, "The Big League of the Bow World".
The Art of Rescue - August
The Ellicottville Brewing Company, along with Holiday Valley and HoliMont Ski Patrols, present an evening of Art & Music with renowned painter Michael Israel, to benefit the National Ski Patrol. The National Ski Patrol relies on your generous donations to continue their efforts in safety & rescue training and relief. Sponsoring this wonderful (and fun!) event is one way you can help contribute to the benefit of all skiers world wide.
The Taste of Ellicottville - August
It's the Taste of Ellicottville, where everyone can sample the best that Ellicottville's fine restaurants have to offer as they set up "Cafe Style" on the streets. Tickets are $1 each and items are between $1-$4. You can purchase tickets at the main ticket booth centrally located in the village. The event will take place throughout the village from 12:00PM - 4:00PM both Saturday and Sunday.
Rock and Roll Weekend - September
Don't miss this fun filled Rock N Roll weekend that kicks off Friday in the evening with lots of live entertainment in all of the local hot spots. The fun continues Saturday as you enjoy Ellicottville's eclectic shops and outstanding restaurants and more performances by regional musicians throughout the Village. Then on Sunday, the show everyone loves to enjoy is back for its 15th year - the Classic Car Show set up on Ellicottville's main street from 12-5pm. Ellicottville is proud to showcase your cars, trucks and rods all set up in class order to be judged by a panel of experienced car enthusiasts with awards in each class.
Fall Festival Weekend - October
Ellicottville's oldest and largest Festival takes place when the foliage of the surrounding hills are ablaze with color! Tens of thousands of festival goers make for a lively weekend of unique foods, an art and craft show, carnival rides, live entertainment and much more.
Christmas in Ellicottville - November
Walking in a Winter Wonderland. Ellicottville's Christmas wonderland begins on Friday. The Village of Ellicottville, often referred to as a Norman Rockwell painting in the making, will be the background for beautiful strolling choirs harmonizing all the favorite Christmas carols while the smell of hot chocolate and the decorated windows in this historic 19th century Village bring back thoughts of a Christmas past. As daylight comes to an end a spectacle unlike any other will appear as the village of Ellicottville comes to life in white Christmas lights and the three story tall Village Christmas tree is lit. Throughout the Friday, Saturday and Sunday event, activities will include Christmas carolers, a live reindeer, breakfast with Santa, horse and wagon rides, interactive children's activities as well as Fire Truck rides with Santa.
Christmas Stroll - December
Experience a very unique, old fashioned holiday season celebration with the Christmas Stroll. There are many events throughout the afternoon including the arrival of Santa. The day concludes with a Living Nativity so authentic you'll be amazed. Children of all ages love the live camel and the Reindog parade.
Outdoor Expo - June
Ellicottville’s newest event! Come to the Ellicottville Outdoor Adventure Expo to see what’s cool to do in and around Ellicottville during the Green Season. Exhibits and demonstrations of what you and your family can do in the great outdoors all around us!
EVL Half Marathon and 5K - October
If you love running, wearing costumes, meeting other people, and having a great time, the EVL Half is for you! Participants are invited to run in costume and enjoy other Halloween related activities but this is by no means mandatory. Get started by registering so you can start thinking about finding a costume that won’t chafe.
Ellicottville Paddle Board Festival - June
Adventure Bound OnTheFly is excited to announce its Annual Ellicottville Paddle Festival! They will be hosting the Ellicottville Paddle Festival at their new 7 acre demo pond across from groove health & fitness on Hwy 219N. Dina’s food truck will be selling street tacos, Ellicottville Brewing Company will be serving beer and there will be live music with John Hastings. Groove heath & fitness will be sponsoring a complimentary Outdoor Power Yoga class lead by Steve Procknal. The Outdoor Yoga class is open to participants of all levels. Please bring a mat and join us for great day of fitness and fun!
